Event 15: Daddy Daughter Shopping

Send the kids with Dad for a morning of shopping. Dad’s usually enjoy it if they aren’t expected to accomplish anything. Gives you time to make your list and check it twice. If Dad isn’t available, Grandpa or another family friend might jump at the chance to take your kids to see Santa.

Tip: The earlier you get out, the less crowded it is. Typical shopping day for us starts around 8:00 a.m. on a Saturday. We meet up, grab breakfast and then shop. We go to the less popular shopping area on the outskirts of town that has a department store like Kohl’s or Target. You can grab a whole lot of gifts for the kids to give in a short amount of time. It is a great time and a fun memory.
