Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge in Tennessee have a festival called Winterfest. It doesn’t have to be Christmas to enjoy the twinkling lights or snow. November 9th, 2010 through February 28th, 2011 over five million lights will shimmer at dusk throughout this Smoky Mountain town, inspiring a grand jubilee of light arrangements, festive decorations, special events, seasonal delicacies and mountain music.
