Everything Old Is New Again

Standard

At church on Sunday they talked about getting older. One of the things mentioned was “the stuff you put up for when it is back in style is back in style again” and that hits home with this post. My Nana did crochet. She tried to teach me as a child, and I think I was pretty hopeless. You really need constant instruction until you get good at it. I’m not really good at it 25+ years later, but I can successfully make a Granny Square.

I put together a baby blanket, but I didn’t know what I was doing and it didn’t make it through the wash. Note to self: If you make it by hand, you need to wash it by hand. So, I came across this adorable crochet pattern the other day and I thought I can do this! Skip To My Lou has the pattern to make this heart garland. It took some practice, but I made one. I will post my garland later.
