Easter Baskets for Older Kids

Every year our sweet angels get older and harder to please. Here are some ideas for older kids.  I am not suggesting putting all of these in a basket. That would be a fortune. I am only buying one or two things off this list, I am not crazy. This isn’t Christmas.

1. Sunglasses. Whether they are nice or cheap ones, we can all use sunglasses. If you need nice sunglasses check out Costco and Sam’s. They usually have a good deal on some nice ones. You can also find decent ones places like T.J.Maxx, Marshall’s and even Walmart. They are not fancy, but if you lose them they were not expensive either. This pair is $15 at Target. Find them here.

2. New summer shoes. Flipflops, Birks, Chacos – some expensive thing you would probably buy in a few weeks anyway. I have these Berks and love them. See all Belk’s styles here.

3. Personal grooming. New shavers, face wash or face cloths, lip balm, sunscreen, hair products, perfume/cologne. Find some great men’s shavers here.

4. Ear buds. We never have enough in our house.

5. Chargers. I feel like we lose these all the time, and they just wear out.

6. Snacks. Beef jerky, popcorn, nuts. Those nice expensive snacks that disappear as soon as you buy them.

7.  Drinks. Grab a few bottles of fun drinks. World Market has lots of fun drinks. They have New York Seltzer. Might be the most fun you have for a $1.50. The flavors are here.

8. Gift cards. Think about the fun places they go. With summer coming, Sonic is a favorite place to grab a drink. Movies are a great summer gift card. Also, think about a pass to the zoo, Putt-Putt, or other local hangout. Gas cards are always helpful.

9. Hat or visor. Cute hats, baseball hats and visors are always fun for the summer and they protect your head from the sun.

10. T-shirt. Think fun summer shirts from Old Navy.

11. Pool stuff. A new towel. A beach-type bag. Check Sam’s and Costco for inexpensive nice towels.

12. Water bottles always come in handy. Walmart has cheap versions of the Yeti cup for $9.

What else are you including?
